As Kermit the Frog would say, "It's not easy..."
Here you are invited to share your experience with living green. Everyone has challenges, and as Kermit the Frog would say, “It’s not easy being green!” Large cities progressive in some ways may not be in other ways. I personally have felt isolated regarding my interest in health and the environment in my area; neither did it make sense to some people that pollution impacts health. This has felt hurtful at times even though it is natural for someone not to relate or fully believe the experience of another person without similar experiences. Currently I am the only green christian I know in a largely christian area. Maybe I just need to get out and network more! Differences in understanding and in needs will always bring some challenge or other for me, for you, and for everyone. I can focus on that or on those whose positive energy stands out, and there are always those. I have enjoyed meeting them locally at health markets and elsewhere, reading about them, and even emailing about issues. I truly enjoyed speaking with Debra Lynn Dadd (“the Queen of Green”) recently by phone. She was enthused that I had a Christian website that promotes taking care of our health and the earth because she sees all this as very spiritual! Someday I hope everyone will see it that way.
(Share your experience in about 300 words or less - about this much text. I can attach photos if you email them to green4christ@sbcglobal.net or you can try to include them in text.)

The intro with those smiling happy sunflowers is just awesome! Love it!
My daughter-in-law and I were just discussing some of what you share here. She was commenting on how frustrated she becomes when people laugh at her for using cloth napkins, planning to use cloth diapers, and being particular about her personal care products. It's like the things we do to be wiser stewards of the earth entrusted to it helps all of us -- even those who make light of our efforts. Their lack of effort hurts everyone. That is rarely seen. We agreed that what must be done is to educate by example. The more of us that do care and change the way we live will be noticed. Even if it is ridiculed a bit, others are noticing. Their consciences may just be pricked a bit to begin taking a few steps of their own.
